Studio Revolution was asked to convert an open loft area into a comfortable master bedroom in a condo in San Francisco's Potrero Hill. The feature wall is made of wood with a chevron print. The rusticity of this design is balanced out by the clean lines and modernity of the leather headboard, contemporary nightstands and wallpaper covering the closet. This master bedroom boasts a bright and cheerful white wall. The master bedroom features a mix of patterns and white pillows. Mounted gold lamps frame a plexiglass print ocean photograph.
The custom-made showplace allows kitchen appliances to disappear into an art wall. This adds color and energy to the space. Rob Stenberg, an artist who painted the design on the panels, covered the wall in reclaimed barnwood. The wall is clad in touch-latch cabinets, which make it look more like an art installation rather than kitchen cabinets. The island was custom made from hemlock blocks and is timeworn.

The space can grow with the little girl through shiplap walls as well as wood floors and neutral drapes.

There's no doubt that Western films, with their tales of fearless cowboys, horse riding and homes on the range, have romanticized the classically American way of life—and for good reason. Not only is the landscape a breathtaking sight, but their style—both personally and on their ranches—has become iconic around the world.

Pair rugged, traditionally Western décor, like a cowhide rug and thick flannel throws, with elegant furniture, like a carved four-poster bed and an antique daybed, to add an element of luxury. Dress your bed with layers of super-soft bedding, blankets, and pillows to create the ultimate sleeping space. For a homespun feel, use a quilt or bedspread with woven detailing in a muted red and blue pattern to bring in your all-American color palette. Accent the room with striped throws in washed-out hues and pillows featuring geometric diamond patterns. Warm, sunkissed neutrals make for a calming backdrop, while mason jars and ceramic pitchers filled with wildflowers keep the look grounded in the wild West.
